At Major Tool & Machine we're proud to celebrate Women's History Month – a time where we commemorate and honor the vital role and contributions of women in American history and today.
With 47% of the total workforce being women, only about 30% are in manufacturing. Women are proven to be instrumental to this industry, bringing with them new ideas, different perspectives, and talent that today’s challenges demand, and we believe there is no better time than now to make a significant impact on American manufacturing.
If you’re interested in joining our team and helping to make a major difference, visit our careers page to learn more.

Our entry is the RS-25 Engine Nozzles and components for NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) program. Aerojet Rocketdyne is the prime contractor for the flight-proven, high-performance RS-25 engines used to propel America’s next-generation heavy-lift launch vehicle, NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS). Four RS-25 engines located at the bottom of the core stage will power the rocket on its eight and a half minute climb to space with more than 2 million pounds of thrust. The Nozzles that MTM manufactures are part of a new generation of RS-25 engines for when the 16 engines remaining from the Space Shuttle program are used. These engines are targeting a 30% cost reduction from the engines that flew on the Space Shuttle and will feature the latest in advanced manufacturing techniques, including 3-D printing.
Yesterday we took a moment to celebrate another record-setting year and honor our long-term employees with service awards, a Major Tool & Machine tradition. Three of those employees have reached 45 years of service, an incredible achievement.
We look forward to the tremendous opportunities that 2022 has to offer and wish everyone a blessed holiday season.
